The Karwendel mountain range to the West, is home to the largest convocation of golden eagles in the Alps, as well as many further high alpine plants and animals. The Tyrolean Nature Park is the largest nature reserve in the Alps, ensuring the conservation of a safe habitat.

The hiking options are seemingly endless, ranging from challenging multi-day hikes to gentle hikes to a charming alpine hut. The Achensee is an access point to the largest nature park in Austria, as well as Scharnitz, Hinterriß and the Inntal valley. Guests can also enjoy a guided tour of the nature park with one of the professional park guides.

The main access point to Rofan mountain range is in Eben with the Rofanseilbahn mountain lift. For some, the gondola ride over the deep-blue alpine lake up to the Erfurter Hütte is already an adventure. For others, it is the first leg of their hiking adventure in the Rofan.
